Lobby Bar and Restaurant at Hotel Golf<\/h2>\n

You do not have to go far for good coffee. We will happily make you one in our lobby bar<\/a> or in the restaurant<\/a>. There are homemade desserts, brunch and a light lunch too. Our kitchen works with Czech and international dishes made from carefully chosen ingredients. A good stop after a morning in the centre, or before heading out for the evening.<\/p>\n

The Scout Institute sits right on Old Town Square. Every month it hosts events that are free and open to the public, and the coffee is very good. Prices stay low, which is rare this close to the centre.<\/p>\n

The interior is simple, wooden and comfortable, equally suited to sitting quietly, working or meeting friends. The staff will gladly recommend something, and you can take a bag of freshly roasted beans home with you.<\/p>\n

Typika<\/h3>\n

Typika is in Nusle, Prague 4. An elegant, minimalist interior, friendly staff and excellent coffee. The baristas take their work seriously and it shows. Worth coming for breakfast or brunch too, and in warmer weather there is outdoor seating.<\/p>\n

M\u016fj \u0161\u00e1lek k\u00e1vy<\/h3>\n

A Karl\u00edn institution and something of a benchmark for coffee in Prague. Speciality coffee prepared properly by experienced baristas, plus excellent breakfasts, brunch and homemade desserts. The interior is both cosy and modern. Book ahead at weekends, it fills up.<\/p>\n

Ema espresso bar<\/h3>\n

You will find Ema near Masaryk Station, in Karl\u00edn and at Palmovka. Speciality coffee from small roasters, with a changing selection of sweet and savoury things to go with it.<\/p>\n

Tea Mountain<\/h3>\n

A modern tea room in Karl\u00edn specialising in teas from small plantations, imported directly from growers. The selection is broad, from green and white to oolong and black. They run tastings and workshops, so it is a good place to learn as well as drink.<\/p>\n

Sm\u00edchov<\/h2>\n

Kav\u00e1rna, co hled\u00e1 jm\u00e9no<\/h3>\n

Literally “the caf\u00e9 looking for a name”, this place occupies a former joinery workshop in Sm\u00edchov. Good coffee, homemade food and solid breakfasts. If you do not feel like coffee, the drinks are well known in their own right. There is also a gallery and a space used for cultural events.<\/p>\n

Vnitroblock is in Hole\u0161ovice and describes itself as a place that brings old spaces back to life. You can have a coffee, dance, buy trainers or watch a film, all under one roof. Useful on a grey afternoon when you want to stay somewhere for a few hours.<\/p>\n

More than a caf\u00e9 or tea room, Dobr\u00e1 trafika is a cultural space with a character of its own, found in several locations around Prague.
