Mysterious Gothic, Baroque gems, touches of modern architecture, and the majestic Prague Castle? Follow the Royal Route\u2014the historic procession taken by future Czech kings on their coronation day.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"560\" data-end=\"712\">It begins at the Powder Tower and winds through the city centre before climbing up to Hrad\u010dany and St. Vitus Cathedral. What will you see along the way?<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"714\" data-end=\"2071\">\n<li data-start=\"714\" data-end=\"865\">\n<p data-start=\"716\" data-end=\"865\"><strong data-start=\"716\" data-end=\"749\">Municipal House (Obecn\u00ed d\u016fm):<\/strong> The route starts here, once home to the Royal Court. Street artists and souvenir vendors are part of its timeless atmosphere.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1524\" data-end=\"1794\">\n<p data-start=\"1526\" data-end=\"1794\"><strong data-start=\"1526\" data-end=\"1550\">Malostransk\u00e9 Square:<\/strong> The royal procession passed through here, greeted by the bells of <strong data-start=\"1617\" data-end=\"1640\">St. Nicholas Church<\/strong>\u2014one of the most beautiful Baroque churches north of the Alps, built by three generations of renowned architects, the Dientzenhofers and Anselmo Lurago.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1795\" data-end=\"2071\">\n<p data-start=\"1797\" data-end=\"2071\"><strong data-start=\"1797\" data-end=\"1815\">Prague Castle:<\/strong> From Malostransk\u00e9 Square, continue up <strong data-start=\"1854\" data-end=\"1873\">Nerudova Street<\/strong> to Prague Castle. The route ends at <strong data-start=\"1910\" data-end=\"1927\">Matthias Gate<\/strong>. Prague Castle needs no introduction\u2014it\u2019s the largest castle complex in the world. Don\u2019t forget the gardens and <strong data-start=\"2040\" data-end=\"2070\">Queen Anne\u2019s Summer Palace<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2073\" data-end=\"2468\">If you\u2019d like to extend your walk, follow the route taken by riders and carriages. They couldn\u2019t use the <strong data-start=\"2178\" data-end=\"2215\">Town Hall Steps (Radnick\u00e9 schody)<\/strong>, so they detoured via <strong data-start=\"2238\" data-end=\"2251\">Poho\u0159elec<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"2256\" data-end=\"2277\">Loret\u00e1nsk\u00e9 Square<\/strong>. <strong data-start=\"2279\" data-end=\"2296\">Prague Loreto<\/strong> is a popular pilgrimage site with a charming carillon and the Holy House.
